    from the neck downwards this creature becomes thinner. an elephant is not built that way

    it’s an elephant. The light part of it on the right is its ear, on the left is the trunk.

    it had probably ran away from a circus or something. Elephants are famous swimmers that can even swim from island to another.

    Wait, lets think about this. IF it was an elephant, 2 things would have occured in order for it to be plausible.
    1) When the creature submerged, a trunk would of came out of the water, thus being an elephant. That never happened because it disappeared.
    2) The people that have been this “creatute” would have watched it for a while to see if it came on land, it probably never did. I dont know, could be an elephant, could be something else. Elephants cant drink salt water, its going to get thirsty.
