Crow and Kitten are Friends
-
I found this video clip while looking through some old VHS tapes I had laying around. This was recorded by my mother around 1999/2000; I’m glad she had the blank tape ready to go in the recorder when the show “Miracle Pets” came on. If anyone knows the current situation of these two friends, please post, we’re all curious. You might notice at 2:16 she dials the typical “555″ number but then the scene switches to the front of the vet clinic. From the video clip, it’s easy to see the phone …

I can’t believe it feed the cat! It proves animals DO have feelings, and DO care. I think we’re the cruelest animals on earth honesty. This is really truelly beautiful and amazing! =P

It just goes to show, even a crow is smart enough to keep their kids out of the street. It just goes to show, brain size isn’t even close to being the only factor in intelligence. We don’t give animals nearly enough credit, because of that ugly part of human nature that makes us want to feel “superior”.
You may know this, but the total difference between us and other mammals like cats and dogs is only about 1%. It might be even less, my memory doesn’t remember numbers well.

Unique? No. We see this sort of thing with humans all the time, why do you refuse to admit that the crow probably just felt sorry for the poor fellow.
If your natural instinct was to fear another but they were just as helpless as you, what would you do?

Curses, why does the reply feature NEVER work for me?

This is a really nice and touching story. And yes we humans could definitely learn a lot from this! We should take care of each other too like these animals do…But that’s probably impossible because people are so cruel, selfish and prejudiced. There is even no basic empathy even though we’re supposedly so much smarter than any other living thing…

Crows are probably smarter than cats. Studies have shown they have problem solving capacities that exceed most apes. They’re also remarkably similar to humans in that they usually mate for life, live in families, and care for the old when they can no longer hunt. But people think they’re loud and obnoxious and remind them of death or whatever. Unfortunate.
June 18th, 2009 at 23:12
I know, I think it’s awful that people would think another living creature as death and scary stuff.
June 20th, 2009 at 02:43
I think God intends, for us to be as nice as animals are. I think that’s one reason why theiy’re here.
