Thank you for making a long version and a short version, that I want to send to friends that are so busy. It brought tears to my eyes and made me laugh. Thank you so much. Someday, the animals will all at peace as well as mankind, those who are the meek of the earth. Isaiah 11:6-9; James 3:7 Thank you again.
No birds in general aren’t very high up in the intelligence ranking, but crows are extremely high.
There are documented cases of crows that are in captivity for research because they started using sticks as tools, where the crow was trying to get a small bucket inside a small narrow tube and after the crow struggled for a minute, decided that the best way to get the food was to bend the wire they gave him into a hook. which is an amazing discovery.
If you search on TED, there is a video on this where the guy shows the video of the hook and he uses the research done to create a machine that teaches crows to pick up coins dropped on the street in the city and to fly them back to his machine that will dispense peanuts when a coin is inserted.
Lucky to the crow it is just a kitten; here in my garden crows like to tease my cats too; they work in team (2 or 3 crows together) and try to get as closer as possible to the cats. l don’t think they are playing at all; my cats pretend they don’t even bother about it but if they get the chance they will just get these crows!
Beautiful story…… of cross cultural love.
My name is Cassy; i loved hearing that it was the kitten’s name too! And Moe is just wonderful. I always loved crows. This is the most surprising crow story i ever heard. Thank you for sharing that.
