The cats have scent glands in their cheeks so they are marking their territory whilst scratching their heads at the same time when they do this! We have no contact with any of our cats at BCR this is the safest most responsible thing to do.

We only ever see these cats at feeding time, Canyon was ready to eat and I had no food for him just a camera!

oh wow, amazing animals. beautiful, elegant, majestic and still so damn cute. i always loved the sound of a cougar roar; its so different from the norm. I’ve always wondered though, what sounds do panthers make? do you have any sound clips of theirs?

Thanks for watching! The panther is just another name for the cougar or sometimes black leopards, people call these black panthers at times. I f you were talking about the leopard noises they have a unique sound they make that’s called “sawing” it sounds exactly like that! Like someone sawing through a piece of wood, I hear them all the time and tried many times to get in on film but no luck! Just come for a tour!
